Career
Rachel was called to the Bar in 1989 and did ten years at the coal-face of divorce and family law before taking a career break to have her own family. She has co-written the Family Title of Halsbury's Laws, lectured in family law, and worked as a consultant for a divorce solicitors in Mayfair. Rachel has maintained her practice as a barrister in oe of the leading family law chambers in London. However, she also feels that for increasing, numbers of couples mediation offers a more constructive way to deal with the consequences of relationship breakdown, both financial and in relation to children.
