Cost of Mediation
The costs of family mediation are set out below and is pay as you go. It is important to see these in context. Court proceedings can be very expensive and run into tens of thousands of pounds each, whereas mediation costs far less.
Mediation intake and assessment meeting (‘MIAM’)
If you come together to this meeting, it will cost £150 plus VAT – so £180. You can share the cost at £90 each.
If you come separately, the cost is £100 plus VAT each, so £120.
This is the first mediation meeting where you will meet the mediator, it takes about an hour.
You may need an assessment meeting, if required, for 1 Day Mediation
Our mediators work across a wide area with varying overheads and our costs necessarily reflect those overheads. Accordingly full information will be given about costs by your mediator. Click here to read about Good Value Mediation.

1 Day Mediation
1 Day mediation costs £995 + VAT each and includes up to 2 hours reviewing documentation beforehand. Additional time is charged at £125 + VAT per hour.
How to pay
Mediation costs are payable at the end of each appointment. One Day Mediation is paid a week in advance. Payment can be made by card, cash or cheque.
